Samurai Warriors 2

There is a way to spend money without actually using any of it. Here is how it works. You should try to have a fair amount of money when you do this to make it worth the effort. Do this by playing a few scenarios without visiting the shops.

Choose 'Story Mode', choose a character and choose a scenario. Choose 'Start' from the Scenario Menu. Enter the scenario and as soon as your character has control, choose the 'Interim Save' option.

Now choose 'Exit Game'. Now choose 'Continue' from the Main Menu and you will find yourself at the Scenario Menu screen again. Do not choose 'Resume' here to enter the Scenario. Instead, press X to return to the 'previous menu'. Now choose Free Mode. The prompt will tell you that all Interim Save data will be erased. Choose 'Yes'. Now choose a character in Free Mode and go directly to the shops.

Spend all your money freely. (You can visit the shops more than once with different characters as well.) When the money has been spent, leave the shop to return to the 'Select Stage' menu. Now press 'Start' and 'Select' at the same time. Save your game using the 'Options' Menu. You should find that all items and skills you purchased have been saved, but you still have the original sum of money!

Having a data block for Samurai Warriors 1 present on the time (same PS2 memory card) you initialize your Samurai Warriors 2 data will unlock Kenshin Ueda and Hanzo Hattori.

Hattori Hanzou ... Beat Musou Mode with Fuuma Kotarou, or Have Samurai Warriors save on memory card before starting the game

Uesugi Kenshin ... Clear Musou Mode with Naoe Kanetsugu, or Have Samurai Warriors save on memory card before starting the game

Inahime ... Beat Musou Mode with Honda Tadakatsu

Naoe Kanetsugu ... Beat Musou Mode with Sanada Yukimura

Shima Sakon ... Beat Musou Mode with Ishida Mitsunari

Maeda Keiji ... Beat Musou Mode with Naoe Kanetsugu

Oda Nobunaga ... Beat Musou Mode with Saiga Magoichi

Okuni ... Clear Sugoroku Mode (Single Play)

Saiga Magoichi ... Beat Musou Mode with Akechi Mitsuhide

Takeda Shingen ... Beat Musou Mode with Uesugi Kenshin

Date Masamune ... Beat Musou Mode with Saiga Magoichi

Nouhime ... Beat Musou Mode with Oda Nobunaga
